Chef's Corner.

Behind every great event is a great chef.

Tampa, FL (December 5, 2008) – The Tampa Convention Center and ARAMARK, the convention center’s exclusive caterer, announced today that Mr. Pascal Beaute has been appointed as executive chef. Chef Beaute has extensive experience in the world of culinary arts having recently served as a chef at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, where ARAMARK was the official catering service provider.

Originally from France, Chef Beaute received his training from some of the country’s elite culinary schools, including Ecole Secondaire de Sochaux and Ecole Hoteliere de Poligny, where he received his French culinary degree from the Culinary Academy of Poligny. Chef Beaute also has a Master’s Degree from Ecole de Georges Pralut specializing in the art and technique of vacuum cuisine.

Prior to joining ARAMARK’s Olympic culinary team in Beijing, Chef Beaute served as executive chef and Director of food and beverage at Royal Oak Resort and Golf Club in Titusville, Florida. Previously, he was the proud owner of Pascal’s Downtown Bistro and Terrace, a 200 seat fine dining restaurant in his home town of Titusville, Florida. Chef Beaute was also executive chef for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and was a part of the culinary team that opened Disneyland Resort Paris.

Located on the waterfront, Tampa Convention Center hosts a variety of conventions, tradeshows, and other special events year-round. The 600,000 square foot building offers 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, a 36,000 square foot ballroom, and 36 breakouts which total over 42,000 square feet. Outdoor areas that overlook the beautiful water of Tampa Bay are available for group functions up to 7,500 people.
